Massage is wonderful it comes in different modalities based on Eastern and Western traditions. Massage is surprisingly not something someone in pain really seeks out as pain management, unfortunately not until it’s their last resource or until they themselves, have heard from a friend or see the results. That look of gratification when they have emotional release because they didn’t realize they been so stress and in pain/sore, to feeling healthy and stress free afterwards. Knowing and feeling their tissue or muscle contraction from a trigger point, finally able to relax, and feel the fibers move into place form over use or weakness. When your client gets up, that persons face so satisfying, to know and see results, and the long-term effects. The person happy and pain free and educating them more about their soft tissue areas and how our body hold stress and tension based on what we put our bodies through. At home stretches they can do and daily task correction, to prevent injuries or other muscle compensation or chronic pain. My duties as a Neuro Muscular Therapist and Health Educator, is to evaluate and asses the public tension areas and the best ways to release tight and over used or weak and sore muscular tension on the proper Anatomical knowledge based on the muscle compensation or injury treating trigger points. Using Neuro Muscular assessments like Orthopedic Test and Trigger Point Referral Pain Charts by Dr. Janet Trevell I can address the client’s postural deviation or decreased Range of motion and Educating them on trigger points. There are 3 types of joint fluid classifications to help make sure proper range and traction; synovial, cartilaginous, and fibrous. Hyper mobile people often are very flexible and sometime need stretch bands as resistance, depending on their tissue. Poor nutrition and overall health all play a role in your tissue you can tell a lot about of you eating and drinking habits in your tissue density and can be contribute to some myofascial trigger points.
